About the collection
This collection includes Southern U.S. newspapers published in the last quarter of the Nineteenth Century. The majority of were released in Alabama, and most resolved a rural and agricultural audience. Article topics consisted of farming science, livestock care, gardening ideas, and family hints. One journal, The Producers’ Evaluation, concentrated on Alabama market– the production of commodities such as textiles, lumber, coal, and iron.
